Our daughters are six years apart and it’s rare to find play activities they both enjoy equally. When Play Visions offered to send me their Play Dirt, I couldn’t wait for the package to arrive on our doorstep. The Play Dirt has the texture of real dirt but doesn’t leave behind the same mess. Little sister loves playing in dirt and her big sister enjoys hands on messy activities so it was the perfect activity for them both.
The Play Dirt Pig Pen includes two pounds of Play Dirt, a tractor, three pigs, a seven piece fence and play mat. Together my daughters built a farm and played for hours with the moldable dirt. The dirt is soft and pliable very much like the original Sands Alive product.
After we were done playing I simply swept up the Play Dirt and stored it in a plastic container with lid. Little sister has enjoyed spending afternoons outside on our patio playing with the Play Dirt while her sister is at school.
Play Dirt Pig Pen would make a great gift for all ages and is perfect for siblings. The age difference between my daughters didn’t stop them from having equal fun with the Play Dirt.
Although it really is like playing with dirt without the mess, Play Dirt has been a great outside activity for us. Little sister isn’t great at keeping the dirt on the table and most days we’d rather play outside then be inside vacuuming after playtime.

Is cute. My son recently got a big bag of kinetic sand for his birthday. I’ll have to bring out the farm animals and let them play.
This is such a creative idea. I’m all for getting your hands in the dirt, just not inside. I like the idea that kids can experience the feeling of creating a pig pen without having to dig up the dirt.
This looks great, all the fun without the mess is a winner in my eyes! As a teacher, I love things like this, keeping the mess to minimum but having a really fun activity to play with 🙂 Your girls seemed to really enjoy this.
