For over 20 years my mom has worked at the post office in the small town where I grew up. She’s a town favorite and makes so many people happy everyday with her beautiful attitude, friendly smile and patience with every customer. Although she would never boast, sometimes customers stop in just to get a friendly hello. All those customers would never know she suffers from chronic back pain. Because it’s a small town, there are only three employees in the office. They hand deliver all the mail to the boxes and do all the other physical work including lifting heavy boxes. Spending six days a week at the post office for so many years has her back hurting everyday. She has tried many different ways to ease the pain but her lower back continues to persistently ache. This week I made her a DIY work friendly rice heating pad and will gift it with Curamin® Stop Pain Now dietary supplement purchased at Sprouts Farmers Market. It’s time to stop missing out on everything she loves outside of work because of her chronic back pain. The clinically studied ingredients are carefully selected for safe pain relief. When pain is the problem, Curamin® is the answer.
Curamin® is a safe, effective, non-addictive herbal formula- different from over-the-counter pain meds and prescription drugs that can sometimes have negative side effects. The product sounds perfect for my mom who regularly spends six days a week at a physically demanding job she loves. This pretty lady should be able to smile for her customers without hiding that she suffers from chronic lower back pain.
Hello Curamin®, goodbye pain. Paired with my work friendly rice heating pad, my mom will be able to have pain free days to enjoy.
Work Friendly Rice Heating Pad
Supplies:
- 1 1/2″ ribbon (enough for belt according to recipient’s waist size)
- 1 C long grain rice
- 1/2 yard fleece
- Sewing supplies: pins, scissors, sewing machine, thread
Cut two pieces of fleece to fit preferred rice heating pad size dimensions. I made my mom’s heating pad 6 x 9″. Cut ribbon to length of belt. Pin two pieces of fleece with belt centered along the outer edge together.
Sew fleece pieces together, leaving both ends open. Flip right side out. Sew one end completely closed, leaving the other open to fill with rice.
Fill heating pad with 1 cup of rice from open end.
Carefully pin open end closed. Evenly distribute rice in heating pad and pin three sections evenly spaced.
Sew end closed then sew along lines to keep rice evenly distributed in heating pad.
The ribbon fits perfectly in belt loops for a work friendly rice heating pad to help alleviate lower back pain. Simply warm the work friendly rice heating pad in the microwave for 30 seconds and wear to work. The heating pad can be easily reheated throughout the day as necessary.
Curamin® is available at fine health food stores nation wide. Check out the store locator to find a retailer near you. I purchased my mom’s Curamin® at Sprouts. I went into the natural grocery store unsure where to find the pain reliever. A very nice associate walked me right to the product for a quick store visit.
I look forward to hearing how the work friendly rice heating pad and Curamin® has given my mom more reasons to smile at work!
Do you or someone you know suffer from chronic pain too?
My oldest uses a heating pad every day! I think I might try making him one of these 🙂
Awesome!
I have seen plenty of heating pad tutorials, but never one that fits on a belt. This is awesome! #client
Thank you! I’ve never seen anything on a belt before either. This is such a great way to be able to use it while standing.
I have not heard of the supplement before. My mom has a lot of chronic pain and I’m trying to help her get off all the prescription medication so I’m going to recommend that she give this a try
I feel the same way about prescription medication for chronic pain. Something not addicting is so much better.

Finally a DIY I can really use because I have a lot of backaches from leaning over and typing all day. I will also try curamin for this pain and other aches and pains I get.
