My husband is Italian and grew up eating homemade sauce and meatballs regularly. His grandfather’s eggplant is a family favorite and I love the smell of his sauce recipe cooking for hours in my kitchen. But cooking homemade Italian dishes that literally start with tomatoes is not something we have time for often. My husband is quite picky with sauce and he usually adds spices to anything I have cooking on our stovetop. Not with Prego Farmers’ Market® Classic Marina. I finally found a sauce with the perfect flavors requiring no extra seasoning from my own kitchen. The sauce was a great compliment to my squash stuffed shells recipe and made putting it together quick and easy – the perfect kind of weeknight meal in our home! Simple ingredients in the sauce you’d find at a farmers’ market and produce picked at peak from Walmart bring amazing flavors to this easy recipe.
