What does Spring in your home look like? Living in Arizona, we usually see the sunshine all through the year but Spring is definitely my favorite season. Our extreme heat in the summer makes me want to spend every day outside when we have our beautiful spring weather.
My daughter has always loved smelling flowers and I can’t seem to stop photographing those moments. A couple of years ago I made a frame with one of my favorite photos of her.
I painted an 11 x 14 canvas and then added paper embellishments. The photo is secured with clear photo corners. The photo in the frame has never changed because it’s my absolute favorite of my daughter smelling flowers. She still loves smelling flowers but sadly she has outgrown that super cute scrunched up nose.
The frame has found a permanent home in our guest bedroom. I love the bright colors in the room but it certainly could use some design assistance. We don’t have many overnight guests but I’m not loving that this room looks like it belongs to a teenage girl.
Regardless of how this room changes, I would love to keep the frame on the wall. We all need a sweet reminder to stop and smell the flowers sometimes.

DownEast will select the top 10 entries, with the submitted photos to be used as posts on their blog. Then fans get to vote for their favorite. If you are in the top 10, you will have the opportunity to share the link with all of your friends to get them to vote for your photo.
The photo that receives the most votes via comments to the blog post will receive a $500 shopping spree at a DownEast Home store in Utah, Idaho or Arizona. In the case of a tie, DownEast will serve as the final judge to select the winner.
