SEA LIFE Arizona Summer Camp

We have been visiting SEA LIFE Arizona for years and it’s a favorite indoor summer activity during those 100°+ days we are already seeing. The thousands of sea creatures, hands on activities and new Colorado River attraction make it a perfect family activity. In addition to weekly visits, my eight year old daughter is looking forward to an entire complimentary week of summer camp later this month. The SEA LIFE Arizona summer camp is a great way to learn about the aquarium, marine animals and water conservation in an engaging indoor environment. Some of the five day camp will be held in the classroom led by SEA LIFE aquarists but other time includes behind the scenes tour of the aquarium.

SEA LIFE Arizona is located conveniently in the Arizona Mills mall and I plan to spend mornings there with little sister while our oldest daughter is attending summer camp.

With thousands of creatures at the aquarium, each day is a new learning experience.

The new Colorado River exhibit has many different activities to teach children about water movement and the rich history of the Colorado River.

My daughter has had many learning opportunities as a member of the SEA LIFE Arizona Young Environmentalists Science Program. Summer camp will have many additional hands on experiments and behind the scenes look at the aquarium.

The hands on experiments are great reinforcement for material taught during the camp. This year the Young Environmentalists are monitoring trash in water to determine how long it takes to decompose. This experiment has been a powerful reminder how long plastics remain in water and potentially harm animals in their natural environments.

Daily camp for a five day week is designed for children ages 7-12. Camps run 9:00 – 3:00 daily with new hands on activities each day. The camp experience cost $250 per child.

When registering for SEA LIFE Arizona summer camp, select the Monday of the week you would like to attend! Summer Camp is available on the following weeks:

  • June 26th – 30th
  • July 10th – 14th
  • July 17th – 21st

Will we see you at summer camp?

  4. This reminds me of a camp I went to as a kid. It was put on by Sea World, they might still do it, but we got to stay for a week and go behind the scenes with the trainers and keepers, it was an awesome experience.
