Healthy and Quick Meals with Kidfresh

I knew this week was going to be busy at our house. With the holidays here I have a growing to do list in my office. Following a healthy meal plan is always intended but I dread cooking on the busiest days. We were not hosting Thanksgiving in our home this year so luckily I didn’t have to plan an entire meal. But not having Thanksgiving at home also means not having yummy leftovers to end a busy week. Thanks to Kidfresh, instead of turning to fast food for my daughter, we had healthy and quick frozen kid’s meal options.

I normally avoid frozen food for my daughter but the Kidfresh meals package caught my attention. The first thing I noticed was they were packed with hidden veggies. Hidden veggies for a three year old? Yes, please. I was out picking up some last minute groceries at Safeway for Thanksgiving Thursday morning when I found the Kidfresh meals in the freezer section. There were quite a few yummy meals to choose from. My daughter is very picky but I knew she wouldn’t ignore the kid friendly options like Mac + Cheese and Spaghetti Loops.

In addition to looking yummy for my daughter, I was very impressed with all the great information right on the package. I know it’s not easy to find easy kid’s meals that don’t include artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. These meals are made with real ingredients including hidden veggies and are packed full of protein and vitamins.

The preparation instructions were simple and quick.

Thursday evening we were home with out any Thanksgiving leftovers for dinner. I gave my daughter one of our Kidfresh meals. She chose the Muy Quesadillas from our freezer. I was very happy to open the cooked quesadilla to find cheese that looked like it came from my own kitchen.

My daughter ate her entire dinner!  She was a happy kid and I was a happy mommy! I’m looking forward to using Kidfresh meals as a go to option on busy days!

  1. That’s the one bad thing about eating Thanksgiving somewhere else…no leftovers! Love how you share that the quesadilla looks like something you would make in your own kitchen. Such a great thing to find in frozen meal.
