FlyWire Zipline Ride at the Phoenix Zoo

Today my daughter and I had a fun day at the Phoenix Zoo. Although we visit frequently today was especially memorable because my daughter went on her very first zipline. I was almost definite she was too young to ride as we approached the attraction. She was elated to discover she had met the weight requirement for the FlyWire Zipline Ride.

She let the attendant help her with the harness, reassured me she would be just fine, and marched up the stairs by herself. I headed over to the spectator viewing area hoping her enthusiasm to ride would last as she climbed the tall tower on her own.

A couple of minutes later I saw her launch from the tower. I could see her smiling and knew my little daredevil was loving every second of flying through the air.

She came down and immediately asked to ride again. She told me she felt as if she was flying like a bird.

For only $5, I brought home the photo taken by FlyWire and plan to frame it in my daughter’s bedroom.

The 300 feet FlyWire Zipline Ride is located on the Africa trail just across from the Conservation Center and will be at the Phoenix Zoo until April 30, 2014. Riders must weigh between 25 and 250 pounds. Each ride costs $10 and photos are $5.

Are you excited to go on the FlyWire Zipline Ride at the Phoenix Zoo too?
