Little sister is obsessed with Lightning McQueen and we have been watching the Cars family of movies in our home for months leading up to this summer’s release of Cars 3. At just two, she’s not quite big enough to sit through an entire movie in the theater so she wasn’t able to attend the early screening with her big sister but that didn’t stop her from wearing her new Cruz Ramirez shirt and the easy Cars headband duct tape craft I made. She’s been sporting the new headband all week and tells everyone that will listen all about her love for Cars.
My eight year old daughter and I saw Cars 3 early this week and absolutely loved the film. We also wore the cute Cars headbands along with matching Cruz shirts. The new character is a great role model for young girls chasing their dreams. She is funny and with a little help from Lightning McQueen, is reminded to go after what she really wants.
Easy Cars Headband Duct Tape Craft
- Plain headband
- Checkered duct tape (like Duck Brand Printed Duct Tape affliliate link)
Cover outer edge of headband with duct tape with starting piece lining up to the end of the headband.
Tuck edges around the back side of the headband and trim excess tape from end.
Wear your new Cars headband everyday while pretending to race like your favorite Cars 3 friends.
The adorable headbands were also the perfect accessory to our day with with the Cars characters at the Road to the Races event in Phoenix last weekend. It was the perfect way to get ready for Cars 3!
Will Lightning McQueen always be your favorite or will your family pick a new favorite like Cruz this year too?
Cars 3 is in theaters Friday, June 16th!
