Discover the Dinosaurs (Phoenix event Jan. 3-5, 2014 ticket giveaway)

When I heard about the Discover the Dinosaurs event I knew my family would be attending. My daughter is fascinated by science and spending the day with dinosaurs sounds like the perfect learning opportunity.

Enter through the stone arch and let the adventure begin! The event’s goal is to create “a fun environment of learning and activity that explores the wonderment and mystery of our pre-historic past.” The main exhibit, consisting of 8-10 different scenes, is full of animatronic dinosaurs to watch and non moving dinosaurs for hands on learning. Each dinosaur in the exhibit has a plaque full of information about the time period, diet, size, and more. The scavenger hunt is a great way to work your way through the exhibit looking for answers in each of the scenes. Turn in your completed scavenger hunt for a prize at the end!

Your day will be full of fun activities including a dino dig, miniature golf, and the opportunity to ride the dinosaurs.

Smaller guests can enjoy the dino den where they can sit on and hug dinosaurs. The coloring area, gem & fossil panning, and dinosaur inflatables will keep the family entertained. Remember to bring socks if you plan to enter the dino den or bounce in the inflatables.

Tickets can be purchased online and/or at the event venue. Purchase your tickets online for the Phoenix event or onsite at the Phoenix Convention Center. The show is open Friday 12-9 pm, Saturday 10-8 pm, and Sunday 11-6 pm. Ticket prices vary for each city. Phoenix ticket prices are $18 per adult, children (2-12 years) exhibit plus $22, children exhibit only $15, and seniors (65+) $16.  My family will be attending the Phoenix event.
