The Big Game is coming and we are starting to prepare for a fun celebration with friends. I’m turning to finger foods my family enjoys to add to our celebration menu and our homemade big game chicken strips recipe with ingredients from Walmart is a great addition. There are so many ways to bread homemade chicken strips but the secret ingredient in this recipe is saltine crackers. Of course a great chicken strip isn’t great without our favorite dipping sauce and condiment, French’s tomato ketchup. My mom made chicken strips with saltine crackers for me as a child too so it’s a dinner I love to prepare for my family. Chicken Strips Recipe
- 4 chicken breasts cut into strips
- 3 eggs
- approximately 25 saltine crackers
- 3 TBSP vegetable oil
Whisk eggs together and crush saltine crackers in separate bowls.
Chicken strips tip: The crackers do not need to be crushed finely because the pieces of cracker add a nice texture to the chicken strips.
Heat vegetable oil in skillet on medium heat. Dip chicken in egg then crushed crackers. Fry each side for approximately five minutes.
Serve the homemade chicken strips with your favorite dipping sauces and condiments like French’s tomato ketchup.
